Description
This loose leaf tea is a unique character filled tea that was created by Bhushan Chandra, a Nepal Tea Master. Ruby Vine is exclusive to Sandakphu in its design. The rare tea has been named Ruby Vine after its winey taste and appearance of red wine. Ruby Vine is prepared with similar perfection to our other loose leaf tea, Ruby Black. However, the key difference is in the season of tea growth and fermentation process. During the process of Ruby Vine autumn preparation, an anaerobic method is used for fermentation and oxidation. This is a unique and different way of processing loose leaf tea and means the tea is oxidised with only the available oxygen within the leaf! The tea is pressed into a mass and compressed, and a natural anaerobic reaction takes place. This results in a sweet character with a hint of winey taste and bright red color.
